Zoo Days- Days 13 & 14

Day 13

I made her breakfast today, full of things she normally eats, and let’s just say her appetite came back with a vengeance, lol. It started the day out just right. The changes in meds and keeping the curtain open have seemed to make a big difference. What a great day! Sunny, warm and breezy, it was the perfect day for the zoo. There is so much to see that even though we were there for nearly 6 hours we couldn’t see it all! The tiger remains her clear favorite, but the day was full of smilies and giggles. She even got to make some music 🙂 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFI3bPbrMSk

New thing-Katelin has woken up in the night to pee and then goes back to bed for the last couple of nights, she’s never done that before.

Day 14

Back to the zoo we go, but this time with a purpose! To feed the tiger! Only it ended up being lions, which was very cool, too. Katie was not afraid at all. She even hauled herself up on to the platform with minimal assistance. This surprised me and I feel her gross motor has improved. She put her knee up on the platform, then placed her hands on it and pushed herself up, I cannot reconcile that with being on the placebo. Her use of utensils has definitely improved, both in speed and accuracy. Today we tried to see everything we missed yesterday and boy are we both tired!

New thing today…Katie MOOED when the cow did, and not just once, three times!
